On May 24, 2025, I volunteered for the Princeton University Alumni Reunion. I was particularly interested in the StandUp for Academic Freedom Campaign, so I volunteered my time that day to support this movement.

“Academic Freedom is a human right—let that sink In” - Ritika
“Met my group…surrounded myself with alumni who are heart surgeons, internal medicine specialists, and civil engineers. I was voted to carry the banner through the class of 1980 alumni parade on campus!!!!”
Along the march, I crossed paths with President Eisgruber, who is the president of Princeton University. He wrote a book on academic freedom.
Finished my shift with free ice cream. The lesson I learned from my day’s experience is “education is a human right!!”
